The drummer was an integral part of military life from the 18th century through the mid-19th century. In camp and on the field, the drummers sounded out the daily routines of camp life and the battle commands of the officers. Individual drummers would also be called upon to perform for dances and other entertainments.
Our child size drumsticks are crafted here in our Vermont shop from native hardwoods such as hickory or persimmon. Pairs are packaged in a poly bag with history information. Wood and tip shape may vary.
This is a musical instrument, not a toy. Recommended for adults and children aged 8 years and above.
