The pennywhistle is a simple folk instrument that has been part of our musical culture throughout American history - in Colonial and Civil War times, along the overland trails to the Pacific, in early 20th century urban neighborhoods and rural households, and now today, everywhere people get together for music and companionship.
We handcraft our pennywhistle here at our Vermont shop in the traditional conical design, with a lead-free solder seam and a wooden plug, then package it in a poly bag with a history and instruction card. This whistle is in the Key of D.
