Bilbo-catchers were included in the "curious" assortment of toys advertised by colonial American merchants, and still described as a favorite in children's books through the late 19th century. Also known as a bilboquet, the bilbo-catcher is a toy of the cup & ball family, where the ball is tossed and must be caught on the tip of the spindle by a hole drilled in the ball.
NEW MODEL, LOWER PRICE We have returned to the bilbo-catcher model where the ball can be spiked on one side and caught in a cup on the other side. Our solid wood bilbo-catcher spindle is 5" long, made expressly for us here in USA. We then string the spindle with a solid wood ball, and package each toy in a poly bag with a history and instruction card.
Not intended for children under 8 years of age.
WARNING This toy contains a small ball, keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
