Before the advent of rubber balls, this game would have been played with small animal bones or stones. One piece would be designated the "Jack", and all game moves had to be completed and the Jack caught before it hit the ground.
Our Game of Jacks set includes 10 of our own large jacks which we cast here at our Vermont shop in lead-free pewter, along with one wood ball (to act as the older style non-bouncing Jack) and one modern bouncy ball.
Choose to have the game packaged in a cotton or a leather drawstring pouch, with a hang tag including history and a card inside with instructions for play.
